I know that this is the photograph that is taken by everyone who visits the Yosemite Valley; for that reason I questioned whether I should post it. The park was crowded with people and cars. I was positioned halfway across the span of the bridge with considerable traffic passing behind me. The lighting was difficult, the mountain in full sunlight and the riverbanks in deep shadows, causing me to resort to HDR processing. Somehow, out of all of that, this serene, perfectly natural scene emerged in the photograph making it one that I treasure. How could I not share it?
