    1. 🥴…you are so right! It’s a “Closing Umbel”. I photograph this shape in the winter when it is dried up and brown. I wonder why it never occurred to me that the green version of that shape would immediately precede the brown. Thanks, Lynn!

      1. But it does look like a strange monster about to open its mouth. 🙂 And seriously, I’ve seen other photos of Queen Anne’s Lace seedheads but nothing like this – you took it to a different level. (I have some in a vase right now – flowers and seedheads).
