Beautiful, Mic! What graceful curves—in the snow and the leaves. Love the translucency of the leaves. You’ve given the snow enough blueness that the leaves in contrast take on an orange quality. (Blue and orange combinations may be my favorite.)
The curves and contours in the snow are mostly due to deer tracks that have ‘drifted in’. The leaves were the mystery to me; they looked freshly fallen, blown in by the wind, coming to rest here. Thanks, Linda.
The warmth here amidst an obviously cold landscape is a beautiful thing to rest my eyes on. This is one of those images that isn’t shy about revealing the love.
I was only thinking about a resting place for the leaves; I hadn’t considered a rest for the viewer’s eyes. I always appreciate your perspective, Lynn.
