  1. Nice!! I love that it’s in Zanesville – I’ve never been there but a sort-of “first” boyfriend, a cousin of my best friend, lived there. We lived in western NY at the time – 7th grade – and his family was visiting my friend’s family. He was a nice, wholesome person, like what this photograph evokes. πŸ™‚ Perfect choice of processing.

    1. Always interesting…the associations we have with places and things. My maternal grandparents lived in southern Ohio; Zanesville was on the way to their house. Tom’s would have been there when we were passing through but I don’t remember ever stopping there. We ate at Hall’s Brown Cow drive-in…that’s my association with the town, maybe from the same time period as yours.

This was taken and processed with the iPhone. I think the only things I did on the computer was to resize it and maybe pull back the brightness a little.

Glad it brought back a good memory for you, Lynn.

      1. Yes, so many associations. And I wouldn’t have guessed this is an iPhone photo, that’s interesting. I’ve gotten some nice images on my (older) iPhone – I just wish they were sharpened a little less to begin with but obviously, most people aren’t going to be processing them. Have a good weekend and don’t work too hard. πŸ™‚

      2. Yes, I think the iPhone is often way over sharpened…I just went back and looked at the edits I made in the phone and I had pulled the sharpness down all the way to the stop.

        Good weekend to you, too.

    1. …Thank you. Several other projects going on and starting the fall mowing of all the pastures and fields. Making photographs in my mind’s eye for now; looking forward to a return to the real thing later this fall.
