    1. I have a tendency toward lots of deep blacks and moderate contrasts which infrared naturally produces on a sunny day…probably why I like it. πŸ™‚ On this one I made the adjustments to hold contrast and detail in the lawn and distant trees and the sky fell where it did.

      1. Interesting. I don’t necessarily think of of deep blacks when I think of your work and I tend to forget about the dark skies infrared can create, probably because I’m drawn to the bright, high-key effect it has on foliage, which I focus on. Funny how different qualities attract us to the same kind of processing.

      2. You are quite right about brightening the foliage. Depending on the scene infrared can even brighten up open shadow areas as well as deep green foliage both of which I appreciate.
