      1. I’m seeing that too – I think it’s a consolation of late winter that we can observe more waterfowl activity than we see other times. In the agricultural fields near here, the flocks of Trumpeter swans and Snow geese are getting noisier, too.

      2. I remember your images of the great flocks of Snow geese, last spring maybe? I’ve never seen them like that. The idea of these great avian migrations is pretty amazing, I think.

      3. Yes, last spring – the sound is overwhelming, too. It feels very good to be dwarfed that way. The geese nest around Wrangel Island in Russia – a 3,000 mile trip – yes, amazing, hard to imagine.
