I’m not adding much new here, but I have to say how the colors are so beautiful, which your composition brings out. Glad you’re back to making posts; I’ve missed them.
What a beautiful image, Mic. It makes me think of Monet’s water lilies – there is a similar feeling. The subdued colors and textures are almost too good to believe.
Thank you, Lynn. I was experimenting with the filter I used on “Lost in America” when I saw these colors and textures in the half frozen pond. I pulled the filter off and took a series of these. They were quite striking to me.
Another look and of course, it’s still beautiful. 🙂
Thank you, Lynn. I’m happy to hear it was worth another visit. ☺️
I’m a sucker for any photographs that take on a painterly quality without any overt processing so a big like for this one. As Linda said, it’s nice to have you back Mic. I was beginning to worry and just hope your absence wasn’t due to any adverse circumstances.
I’ll give most of the credit to the thin ice covering the surface…
I have too many interests which don’t lend themselves to multitasking. I hope the others are at a place that will allow me to do some photography…March/April are my favorite months for it! Thanks for the welcome back, Alan.
Painterly and I love the colour palette…☺️ smiles Hedy
Thank you, Hedy. I found these colors very appealing too.
It looks like an Old World still life painting.
It does…color palette and soft lighting?
