    1. I had been in a slump, photographically speaking, for what seemed like a long time. I put the camera and tripod in the car and headed out hoping for a little spark to get me going again. My first stop was only a couple of miles from home. I still remember framing up the first image and thinking that I was witnessing something that I had never seen before, something very special. The lighting, the mist, the still water…I spent a couple of hours making photographs. I think it was as good as it gets. Thanks, Alan.

  1. I could gaze at this for a long, long time. There’s a luminous glassiness to the whole image that is mirrored in Oliver’s lines. Perfection! Maybe you’ll get this one printed?
